Delaware Tech’s ACT Center

Delaware Technical & Community College has opened ACT Centers at our Wilmington, Dover and Georgetown campuses to provide state-of-the-art testing and training programs for area businesses, individuals and organizations. The ACT Centers offer access to over 2500 training and skill development courses.

Overview

The ACT Center offers:

  • Skill-specific training through approximately 3,100 computer-based and Web-based courses developed by leading courseware providers
  • Computer-delivered certification and licensure tests for the trades and professions
  • Distance learning using the latest technology

The ACT Center is a training and testing facility that helps people become lifelong learners, better prepared to meet the challenges of the constantly changing workplace environment.

The Center offers computer-based courses focusing on training in seven key categories:

  1. Personal and Professional Development
  2. Management and Leadership
  3. Information Technology
  4. Industrial Technology and Safety Skills
  5. English as a Second Language (ESL)
  6. Computer Basics
  7. Adult Literacy/Employability Skills

The variety of courses is designed to appeal to a wide range of businesses and individuals—from busy executives, to construction supervisors, to small business owners, to persons interested in improving basic skills for a better job.
